The deadline for nominations from the public for people or horses to be inducted into the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame for 2012 is Wednesday, March 7, 2012.
All nominations for inductees from both the Thoroughbred and Standardbred industries will be considered by the Nomination Committees of the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame Board of Directors.
There are five induction categories for 2012: Male Horse; Female Horse; Person, Jockey, Driver or Trainer; Builders, included but not limited to Breeders, Owners, Media Officials and others; and Veteran, horses whose careers have been completed for 20 years. For eligibility information click here
All public nominations are to be sent as a formal letter containing detailed information on the record and merits of each nominee along with the nominator’s contact information.
The deadline is 5:00 pm Wednesday, March 7, 2012 and nominations can be mailed, hand delivered, faxed, or emailed to:

The final list of the 2012 Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame Inductees will be announced on Tuesday, April 10, 2012.
A special Wine and Cheese Reception in the Hall of Fame at Woodbine on Friday, May 25, will be held to introduce the 2012 inductees, and unveil the panels for the 2011 Inductees.
This year’s Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Gala Fundraising Dinner will be held on Thursday, August 16 at a venue to be announced.
